Jim Shrode believes his good fortune began when he left St. Joseph's Home for Boys and attended Cretin High School instead of Boys Town, Neb. "A wonderful, loving Catholic couple, who eventually adopted my brother and me, made it possible to receive a Christian Brothers education," Jim says. "These were seminal events in my life."
Dr. Richard (Rick) '61 and Maxine Hammel of Peasanton, CA, became members of the Cretin-Derham Hall Legacy Society when they advised the school of their intent to include CDH in their estate plan. Rick shared his thoughts about estate planning in the following Q&A.
